POSTERIOR CERVICAL MICRODECOMPRESSION AND FORAMINOTOMY
When one or two nerve roots are compressed, a minimally invasive approach to the back of the neck can be performed. A small incision is made, and a small amount of bone is removed from the bony covering (lamina) to decompress the nerve. This is an outpatient surgical procedure whereby the patient can return home in a few hours.
